I seriously doubt that they will ever develop a mystery and fascination to it. A former neighbor of ours was an alcoholic. Every so often, she'd fall when she was drunk and couldn't get up by herself. In the morning, she'd call to ask for help and I'd find her in a puddle of vomit and human waste. My kids don't want to end up that way. Both kids consider alcohol to be on the same level as hard drugs.
