My husband and I picked this monitor out because we thought since it was from Sony, it would be a quality monitor. I like the durability of the monitor, but the features just weren’t use friendly. First, the sound sensitive lights are too small and aren’t lit very well so during the day when there’s light all around, they are very difficult to see. Also, there’s so many channels which I thought that we were willing to pay more for, but it gets confusing setting the channels because there’s no way to remember which channel works the best. The different color combinations are confusing. Plus you can usually find one or two channels that work very well and I don’t think it was worth the money for 27 channels. Finally, the box says voice activation to eliminate background noise, but the problem with that it doesn’t pick my baby’s softer sounds because they aren’t loud enough to “activate” the monitor. I ended up returning the monitor and bought an Evenflo monitor. It’s a new one called WhisperConnect which is more than half the price ($20) and has rechargeable batteries (a God send!). I hope Babies R Us will offer this new monitor to customers because of all the monitors my husband and I have tried, the lesser expensive WhisperConnect worked the best.
