When I received this carrier I was really excited! I had done my research and it had received such wonderful reviews! I have never written a review, but I felt I needed to warn others before spending such a ridiculous amount of money on a baby carrier that could cause you horrible pain.
I used my carrier for the first time with my son facing foward(he is 18 pounds). I won’t even get into how difficult it was to get him in and out of this contraption–lets just say it wasn’t easy, and it took two people to get him out! I had him in the carrier for only 45 minutes while at a neighbors house so he could watch the other children play. He was comfortable and having a good time and I was happy to be able to have my hands free.
I got home that night and had a horrible headache and horrible neck pain that lasted through the entire night onto the following evening that was caused by using this carrier. The only support it provides for holding your childs weight are straps that wrap around your shoulders (as opposed to one going across your back as well to help even out weight distribution),which causes the weight from your child to pull down your shoulders–at which point you end up using your neck to help support the weight instead of your back.
I am really disappointed in this item, not only because of the pain it has caused me due to its poor design, but also the difficulty of getting my child in and out of it.

For some reason it’s not letting me change my ‘star status’, as I’d like to update it to a 4 star!! You know, when I first bought this I didn’t realize how great it was! It’s much better with older babies (when they can hold their head up at least) and I really prefer the Active Carrier (with the lumbar back support) as I’m petite & this carrier does not have the support, so it would always hurt my back after awhile. With the active carrier, I can do everything & go anywhere and it does not hurt my back or shoulders. After 2 years & 2 babies: I love it! In the beginning (1 week-3 month old) I really prefer the Moby Wrap as it’s just a simple fabric wrap and the baby is practically skin-to-skin and it’s easy for nursing too, but when the baby is a little older until nearly a year, I really like the Bjorn (Active carrier best). Buy the Bjorn Carrier Cover too, I really think it’s worth the value if you’re going outside in the wind/rain elements!!

The baby bjorn is a nice carrier. I received one for my baby shower. However, I hardly used it. I thought I would use it a lot but I found I hardly used it after the first 3 months cause my baby weighed too much. Before that, the many straps made me afraid I was going to drop the baby. But probably the same problem for other carriers. I was really surprised by how little I used it, since I really wanted to carry my baby

My husband and I loved this when it was warm outside. When it was chilly, we stopped using it. Not really sure if it was worth having still. We used the backpack a lot more and for more months.

I used this one day…so far baby girl doesn’t like it. It is hard to get her in and out of it…She is a HEAVY infant…She can’t hold up her head real well and I can’t put her in one handed because she is such a big baby.. It seems like it would come in handy but she just freaks out when I try to put her in it. It could use a strap across the lower back for the HEAVY infant…a little more back support…it’s ok at first, but my back did start to hurt after about 15 minutes.
