When my kids were that little I use to either sing or play the radio, CD for them. There is also reading to them, lying them in the crib, swing, or playpen to watch a mobile. If you have a boppy (U shaped pillow) you can let him lay down on it while there is music being played, or a book on tape, CD playing. I have tapes of me reading different stories for my girls to listen to that I also played for them as baby. The freed up time for me to cook, clean, whatever I need/needed to do without holding them. Hope that helps.

When my son was around your son’s age, my mom brought me puppets to entertain him with and he liked it. Plus I play peek-a-boo with him and he’s always smiling.

My son, now almost 8 months, has always been hard to entertain but when he a newborn I could always get him to smile with I would litely tap my fingers on his bottom lip and sing in nice voice “ahh” weird as it sounds that was the only thing that worked till he was a little over 3 months. He also loved, and still does, being sung to. Enjoy this time, they grow to fast. withing the last 2 months my baby has gotten teeth, learned to sit, crawl, and walk along furniture. In no time your son will be entertaining you! Best of luck!

Reading and listening to music are good activities.

Also try finding different textured items to explore together. This could be anything like playing with a feather, to listening to the crinkle of a candy wrapper.

Infant massage is a nice way to bond and helps your little one’s circulation and overall well being.

Talk to him throughout the day as you’re doing chores and tell him what you are doing and what you’ll do next. This allows him to listen to your voice and cadence and aids language development.

    Have fun!

At his age all you can really do is wave toys in front of him to try to catch his interest and just cuddle with him. Right now, he will love cuddles much more than any game :)

My daughter was the same way. She was 7 weeks premature though. I suggest making signs.

This is what I did with my daughter, and because babies this age can view the colors black and white more vividly, they were able to see it well. She laughed and had a blast with it!

Just take a paper plate. And draw on it with a black felt marker. Hold it in front of her a good ways, and twirl it around for him to see :)
