A Parent asks, I’m doing a little research for an assignment on global infant feeding practices, and I want to find out what foods are given to babies (under 1 year) in different countries? And at what age? And what’s the method used for giving this food?
In Australia, it’s usually rice cereal first. I have heard of Indians using ragi and Chinese using congee – so tell me more, people!
What did you feed your baby first?

I’m in Canada and I started my daughter on rice cereal mixed with formula shortly after she turned 4 months old. Then started her on peas at 5 months old. And moved through the veggies and the fruits from there.
