Did you do anything special for your child’s birthday in their Kindergarten classroom?

20 November 2009 5 Responses

A Parent asks, My son’s in kindergarten and his birthday is next Tues.
I was wondering what I should send to his classroom on that day for all the kids.
Did you send/take a birthday treat to your child’s classroom when they were in kindergarten? What? Give me some fun ideas. Thanks!

I’ve already checked with his teacher and she said it’s ok to send a treat for the class now and then.

I asked the teacher if it was ok. I bought in a cake to sing happy birthday and i also brought in chips lollies and fairy bread. I also gave each child a small lollie bag or u can give either a fun size choclate bar, little box of smarties or a lollie pop.

    Have fun!

Oh! Happy Birthday to your Child! Many happy returns! Before your child’s birthday party, consider doing something nice for his kindergarten class. In honor of your son’s birthday, consider donating a book to the kindergarten class. Write your son’s name in the front cover of the chosen book, the current date, and any other birthday sentiments you and your son want to include.

If every kindergarten parent donated a book in honor of their child’s birthday, the kindergarten class would have many new books for story time. Your child’s kindergarten teacher will appreciate the book, and so will every child in the class. I remember when I was small, my parents donated, “Where Does Thursday Go?” and it was really cool: My birthday was on a Thursday!!! No Joke!!! And as Ria said, Bring lots of lollybags and a nice Birthday Cake too!!! Bring a Camera and take lots of photos!!! It should be a memorable experience for all and you can even have some party games if it’s fine with the teacher!!! If you have the money, Hire a clown or something you think the kids may like. It should be a Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

    Good Luck and Have Fun!!!

I took birthday cupcakes from wal-mart. They had little birthday pics on them so everyone felt like they got a treat.

I would send cupcakes if that’s allowed. If not..send in a healthy snack for all to share.

Avoid sweets. Better to bring in some snack that is not too sugary, and also sign a book and have your child sign the book and donate to the class. The teacher will love you!
