They do an assembly every year on bullying. The kids get pins saying "bully free zone". Any child witnessing a bully is to report them immediately. They go to great lengths to drill the point home. Children are rewarded for loyalty, among other virtues. I have not heard of any problems at our school. This is a public school and these programs can be implemented in any school, they make a difference. I'm sorry your child has had such terrible experiences.

The bully seems to have a terrible home life, her parents are frequently in the paper for drugs etc, so I think she has no 'norm' to set herself by.
