What are some things i can do with toddler?

7 January 2010 3 Responses

A Parent asks, I work 3 days a week and therefore have 4 days off a week with my toddler. One of those days we take her to playgroup in the morning and on another day we take her swimming. She is currently 16 months old and has just began walking in the last couple of weeks. What other places can I take her to to keep her entertained and active. Also waht activities can I do with her at home. She loves playdo and blocks and loves trying to figure things out.

I found that once my son started walking I bought one of those backpack halters, that way I couldnt loose him easily. Also allowing him to walk around and learn and touch things.
The best place that was very stimulating for him was the store, let him touch and place with things at his level.
At my sons first bday we took him to the Zoo, he loved to be able to walk around and see the animals.

Most libraries have story times for toddlers where they read stories, sing songs, etc. My son loved it!
