A Parent asks, I recently quit breastfeeding, and my 8 wekk old is on Enfamil with lipil, it makes him soo gassy. I tried the Enfamil gentlease and it was worse. My first two sons were a breeze, although one was on soy and I though about that for my baby but I heard it can make him more constipated. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We are using Parents Choice Milk based and have had no problems at all. You could try that.
i would say to try to get him on soy like your 1st to childern:]
yeah, I know it is tough to find the right formula for your baby, I’ve been there with my first, The soy formula might help, it doesn’t hurt to try it, Also have you tried burping your baby after every ounce or so, and try the gas drops those seem to work as well, Good Luck!
I would ask his dr. and tell them about the gas and see what they suggest for your child. We use good start and we haven’t had any problems, but again ask your dr. and see what they say.
there is this stuff called gripe water it breaks down thier gas bubbles to little ones so its easier to either burp or fart them out. i got the gripe water at a babies r us dont know if you have one of those around good luck

I recently quit breastfeeding,”
Do you not get this?????
carnation good start or a soy formula
my 3 month old is on soy and she seems pretty gassy…but i just figured that was inherited from her grandpa lol
try the gas drops
poor baby get gas drops or lay him on his tummy rub his back or rub his tummy
what works for my 2 2 month old twins is laying them on their tummies and rubbing back and gas drops before they eat good luck
I started out with the regular Enfamil, and my daughter was having problems with gas also. I tried Enfamil Lactofree (don’t know if the kinds have changed, she is 3 now), and she seemed to be a lot better. After she was born, we were accepted on WIC, and they only provided regular or soy. So we went with the Enfamil ProSobee and she had no problems.
Have a chat with a pharmacist, they can be helpful.
