A Parent asks, Ok, So my daughter is 3 and she has never been in daycare. I enjoy looking after her and think its good for her to have the first few years of her life at home with me. But alot of people have told me she is in desperate need of daycare, as she is not a big fan of other children shes happy to play by herself, but she has some issues with sharing. She starts school the year after next, so i was going to wait untill the end of Read More

A Parent asks, Just asking parents which mattress protector they found more hygenic, absorbent and easy to wash when they started their little ones on night toileting training. My daughter is dry 9 out of 10 nights, so I want to stop using the night time nappy pants. Thanks in advance.Read More

A Parent asks, Well my daughter goes to preschool and when she first started there a little boy was telling her disturbing things and not letting her play with her other friends, which has been backed up by one of her friends (he would kick or punch this other girl whenever she would try to play with my daughter). So nauturally i went to her teacher she basically informed me that my daughter was lying she said my daughter is the one that Read More

A Parent asks, Okay, to start off this is all fictional. I’m writing a story in which a man kills his wife in front of their twelve month old son and then abandons the child somewhere or other. But this is all in the past. The child is now sixteen, and spent a lot of his childhood being bounced from foster home to foster home. I know this is a general question, but I’m trying to work on his personality and would like to know what Read More

A Parent asks, I’m trying to teach my 11 month old to drink on their own and someone suggested using a cup with a straw in it, but how can I teach him to suck the straw? Previously I have just been using a cup with a spout for him to drink water from, so he thinks it will just pour in his mouth. Should I give up and just go back to the spout until his older and then retry a straw??Read More

A Parent asks, This question in no way is intended to open up a debate about whether I should be a stay-at-home mom or work outside the home. My kids have flourished in their preschool. In a 5-week temp assignment, I had to take off 9 times because my kids would get sick with SOMETHING (asthma, cold, throwing up, etc.) My husband doesn’t get sick time yet, and he makes enough in 11 minutes to cover an hour of me working, so he Read More

A Parent asks, She has a severe bout of tonsilitis and vomits every time I give her the prescribed (Amoxycillin clauvanate) medication. I’ve tried smaller doses; mixing it with milk; putting it in icecream, getting her to push the syringe, putting it in the side of her cheek…. She hasn’t eaten much for 3 days so I need her to keep down anything she does eat/drink. Our Doc had no new ideas. Thanks.Read More
