A Parent asks, I have just done a pregnancy test and got a positive result. i have also done one last night and one this morning, both with negative results. The negative tests were a different brand to the one i got the positive result on.
Thanks for your answers! Really hope we are pregnant!!!!

i’d bet you are pregnant
Don’t count on it. You’re probably pregnant.
You’re pregnant!
False positives rarely happen.
If you took the test recently (tonight), and it’s positive, you’re pregnant. Make an appointment with a doctor, and congratulations!
Very rare…
But u should go get a blood test done at the doctors cuz it’ll be the most accurate one of them all
Well if you think you are pregnant and it was positive then you probably are. The first two probably just werent strong enough to detect the pregnacny hormone.
Go to the doctor, find out for sure.
I am a CCMA
Someone said “maybe it died” Your HCG level would still be present after a miscarriage
Go to your Gyno and have a professional test preformed
Yes you can get False Positives if the test was defective, not peed on correctly or if you read it after 10 minutes
How accurate are urine tests?
Urine tests or home pregnancy tests are around 97% accurate when done correctly.
Home pregnancy tests are great to use because they can be done at home, they are usually low in cost (anywhere from $7.99 to $19.99), private, they give a fast result, and are easy to use. However, if not done correctly or taken too early, the result can be inaccurate.
If you get a negative result and still have symptoms of pregnancy (missed period, nausea, breast tenderness and fatigue), wait a week and take another test or contact your doctor so you can have a blood test done.
there are always false negatives never false positives…..
the one you got a positive with is probably more sensitive from the others. the only reason there is always false negatives but never false positives is because you might get a negative if your hcg level is not high enough which means you tested too early but high enough hcg levels to be detected in atest can only mean one thing you are prego the hormone is there and it only reaches this level to be detected when you are prego so……congragulations…i bet it’s a girl!
i bought my pregnancy test from the dollar tree for a dollar…i got 3 just in case and they all said positive and i was pregnant!
I don’t think you can get a false positive.
