What are my chances of getting pregnant?

13 March 2010 3 Responses

A Parent asks, I’m 46 with a 6 year old daughter. I recently had a blood test that says I am in menopause but I still get regular periods. I haven’t been taking contraceptives for 2 years and am now in a beautiful relationship. We would both be over the moon if I fell pregnant. What are my chances?

Slim to none if the test was accurate that you are in menopause.

Im not trying to be rude and it really is not my place to say if people should or should not have children but i think it is really unfair to have children so late in life i had a high school friend who’s parents were in there early 60s which is what u will b by the time if u wanted to have another child, an although she loves her parents she was terribly embarrassed by having older parents because people that did not know her and seen her parents were like hey ur grandparents are here to pick u up. I think that anyone should b able have have children whenever they want but i still think it is really unfair that these children with older parents end up with there parents passing away before they reach there 20s and there children grow up without grandparents.

I understand your frustration, my dear.

Believe it or not, my husband and I tried to conceive for more than 8-months. We tried to refrain from sex for days and even weeks but it didn’t help.
Worst part is, there were empty hopes – I thought I was pregnant but in the end I wasn’t. It’s really frustrating and I understand that.

I was in Yahoo Answers and in this section quite some time ago and I ask a question similar to yours and a person recommended me a book. It’s entitled “Getting Pregnant Bible”. I swear it’s like a gift from God!

It teaches stuffs like the seven things you need to do before even you try to get pregnant to ensure a healthy pregnancy; the appropriate diet to conceive; how to increase your husband’s sperm count; the ovulation cycle and many others!

I am already having my 4th child now! I really recommend that you try reading this book out. Also, they are currently giving free bonus books like fertility secrets and choosing your baby gender! It’s for a limited time only!
