What happens if you dont know your pregnant and continue to take the contraceptive pill?

Question by kjay: I dont think i am or anything, i was just curious. I mean, its not unheard of to fall pregnant while on the pill, what happens? Does it cause you to miscarry? Or could it hurt the baby?

check with your doctor but i know some sort of pills has progestrone hormone and that makes the pregnancy get stronger and fixed
what the pill does is put just enough hormones in your body to trick it into thinking it already pregnant. so if you do get pregnant by chance which yes does happen it doesn’t harm the baby. just extra hormones running around in your system
Yes, it can. If you have even the slightest thought that you may be pregnant, then you should immediately cease taking oral contraceptives and consult your doctor URGENTLY. It is not unheard of to fall pregnant whilst taking the pill, but continuing to take it whilst pregnant can cause you to miscarry.
It is a total myth that it can cause harm to the pregnancy. The contraceptive pill cannot harm the pregnancy in any way.
