A Parent asks, I have taken paracetamol for myself and given my son calpol as we are unwell – is that ok? is it safe? will he get extra dosage of paracetamol?

I think I remember my doctor saying paracetamol doesn’t get into the milk and even if it does, it’s safe for children. I’ve given my baby paracetamol and taken paracetamol myself and it was fine.I breastfeed my baby and I’ve been giving him paracetamol for teething and occasional fever and taking paracetamol for headaches myself. But I think you will feel better if you call your baby’s doctor. All the best!
