You could probably do it, but it would take a fair while and you’d probably get into a mess and it probably wouldn’t be very sterile.

A manual breast pump is cheap and will do the job perfectly. It will also keep the milk clean, as it won’t touch your hands or anything else, and will go straight into the attached bottle.

its possible, but a little time consuming. You can get a manual pump for less than $40.00, that will make it a little easier.

You can do either, if you are combining milk from more then one session just make sure you cool the new milk in the fridge before you add it to the rest. If you are freezing the milk you will get a layered look to the milk in the bottle, just swirl it (don’t shake it) until it mixes.

It could potentially take you a very long time to express 2 to 4 ounces by hand. Even a pump cannot get out of the breast what a baby does in 5 to 10 minutes. It all depends on whether you are engorged or just producing exactly what your baby demands. A pump is easier and less painful…hands and nipples can get sore from hand expressing. You can add new milk to milk that has been expressed within the same 24hrs and stored in the fridge. Different people have different opinions on that. Ask your dr, lactation consultant etc.

you can hire breast pumps .
try ur local maternity hospital .. if they don’t , they should be able to tell u who hires them out
its alot cheaper to hire it for a month to see if ur son will take the bottle ..
and alot cheaper then buying 3 different pumps , only because they don’t seem to work for you
( i had a lot of trouble pumping)
