PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE MEDELA PUMP IN STYLE ADVANCED TO HIRE I LIVE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA?

14 July 2010 One Response

Question by Emma: I recently had a little girl and I was breast feeding but I got mastitis and I could no longer feed her cause my milk had big lumps and I didn’t want to risk my daughter choking. I no longer have mastitis and have kept my supply up as I was hoping she would take back to the breast… but she wont. I have a Nuk breast pump but every time I go to use it my milk wont let down, the only time it will let down is if I am in the shower or hand expressing. I want to buy the medial pump in style advanced but is there anywhere they hire them out so I can try it first I don’t want to waist 0 if it doesn’t work. I have tried all the things they say to get your milk to flow but it won’t even let down when I have my daughter on the boob. And I had this problem in hospital when she was born and I could only get the hospital pump to get my milk out.

See sources for the Australian contact page.

They do not rent the Pump in Style Advanced, but they do rent the Medela Symphony. The Advanced is a single-user pump. It’s important to know that the Symphony is totally different than the Advanced, and you will probably like the Symphony better as it’s more comfortable, stronger, and more durable. Honestly, if you are ONLY going to be pumping, I’d recommend just renting the Symphony for a few months rather than buying the Advanced. The Advanced is more for moms going back to work who will be pumping 2-3 times a day, while the Symphony is for moms who are pumping constantly or want to boost their supply.

    Good luck!
