How long after ceasing breastfeeding should self breast checks resume?

16 July 2010 One Response

Question by nokia girl: My baby is 18 weeks old, I stopped feeding at 8 weeks and have resumed normal periods. I recently found 2 small lumps in one of my breasts right next to each other which I havent noticed before. I didnt know if it was too soon to be doing self checks. They are both pea type feeling but I dont have any sensitivity or pain from the area. Is it too soon to get doctor check?
