Can the Clearblue Digital Ovulation test also tell you if you’re pregnant?

7 January 2010 4 Responses

A Parent asks, I am asking for a friend. (No, not for me – I am having lots of BF problems, let alone planning to have a baby!). For those who are familiar with this product, the result was no LH surge detected but on the dispoable stick, it showed two lines. Does that mean she’s pregnant? I thought this test was for ovulation, not pregnancy?

An ovulation test is only for ovulation, an actual pregnancy test is needed to test for pregnancy. They detect different things. As for her ovulation test results–read the directions.

It would show similar results because they are similar tests so the double lines mean for a pregnancy test for clear blue that you are pregnant.. so on the same idea two lines on an ovulation test mean you are ovulating.

LH is different than the pregnancy hormone hcg. So the test shouldn’t work for pregnancy too.

It can sort of work. Go to peeonastick.com. You’ll find more information than you’ll ever need to know about peeing on sticks :)
