Do ovulation kits work right after miscarriage?

26 January 2010 2 Responses

A Parent asks, Hi everyone:
I miscarried about a week ago and a OPK is already saying I am ovulating..? Could this be right? I hear some of you saying you ovulate 14 days after a miscarriage…are you determining this from an ovulation test or just the signs your body is giving you? Thanks in advance for your answers!

You may want to wait until the Hcg hormone is out of your system or when your period starts again ,at least give your body time to adjust to losing the baby. Sorry for your loss. Good luck to you!

If it’s possitive, then you are ovulating. Wether or not you should actually be trying to get preggo again this soon depends on how far along you were. If it was very early m/c it’s probably OK, but if you were several months along, you should probably wait a couple months to let your body heal.
