Why is their only a 20% chance in conceiving in the first month?

A Parent asks, Could it be the other 80% are not having intercourse at the time of ovulation? For a 20 year old, chances should be high, right?

You are right in every aspect.
63% of all statistics are made up.
Chances are good. But that said, remember the egg and sperm have to connect at the perfect moment. There is a 20% chance, but you are corrent in assuming the younger you are the better chance you have.
it is too complicated question because you have to know a lot about menstrual cycles nad levels of progesterone and estrogen !!
my professional advice is to have sexual intercourse most at days 10-18 from the menstrual cycle … preferrable more than once per day … and the female should be in the missionary position
I think when people first start trying they don’t chart ovulation they just enjoy each other and after a few months of hit and miss then they concentrate there efforts more. It took my husband and I 3 months to conceive both times because we were just enjoying the trying. I lost both babies but I think wink wink I could be preggers again and this time it would only be 2 months… I think you have a high chance at 20 I am 24. good luck
I think it’s because at first about 80% of people don’t realize that you need to climax at the same time to get enough sperm into the uterus to make conception very likely. I’m really surprised that relatively few people seem to realise that the female orgasm has a biological function. It opens up the cervix and draws semen into the uterus.
