A Parent asks, I am 27 and in the healthy weight range. I have started clomiphene 50mg this cylce and I haven’t ovulated. We have also just been told that my husband has a low sperm count and need to try intrauterine Insemination. My fear of not ovulating and conceiving is growing. Can anyone share their experiences and success stories, I need hope!!

If you have PCOS, you need to be taking Metformin. I took 1500mg a day, and conceived my daughter 7 months later. She’ll be 4 in June. Good luck!!
I don’t want to be a horror story, but I would like to offer advise. Especially, if financially, you can be aggressive with treatment…. DO NOT DELAY!!!! My husband and I didn’t want to consider IVF so we did 3 IUI’s. No pregnancy. We’ve now done one IVF cycle and still nothing. We’ll be attempting our second IVF next month. If you know you have a low sperm count, my (non medical) recommendation would be to get started with an IUI cycle or two ASAP. You are young, no doubt, but it’s scary how fast the months will fly by. You’ll find ourself 30 years old and then your fertility will be declining in addition to your husband’s sperm count. BEST OF LUCK!!!
