How can I give myself the absolute best chance of conceiving next month?

A Parent asks, I’m aware of ovulation, I mean more supplements I can take, things I can avoid, things I can do…and for DH too. Thanks!
lol…no, I’m not “15 or something”….I’m aware that sex produces a child…please, read my question properly…I asked about supplements, things to avoid and things I can do…APART from sex around ovulation

    Have sex 3000 times during the ovulation period. I hope its only with your husband and that your not 15 or something.

    Don’t have sex more than once every 24 hours. Actually, its better if you have sex every other day, as sperm count can decrease with increased, um, use. Also, avoid hot tubs and tight pants/underwear for him, as both can decrease sperm count. Try to track your ovulation as best as you can, using basal temperature, an ovulation kit, etc. And when you know you are ovulating, get busy! =)

    Good luck and be patient… the average time to conceive is a year! So if it doesn’t happen right away, relax and try try again.

    Well you could relax and take it easy. No mater what you eat or drink the most important thing is for your body to be ready to conceive and if you are nervous you put your body into Fight or flight mode and then it will not let the sperm into the egg. It is an old self protection mode for when the female doesn’t feel safe if not safe no place to have a baby.

    I’d suggest being as healthy as possible over the coming month. You are more likely to conceive if your body is in great shape. eat a good diet and moderate exercise daily. Drink heaps of water, and a daily multi vitamin just to be sure you are getting the right nutrients to start a new life inside you. Same goes for DH. He needs to be healthy as well and he is more likely to produce quality sperm.

    Also a biggie is not to stress too much. Just relax and take it easy over the coming months. Get plenty of sleep too!
