Chances of conceiving and miscarriage?

A Parent asks, I went off the pill in June 07. I had irregular periods due to going off the pill until october. Started trying for a baby in november. I fell pregnant in november, but miscarried in january 08. My partner and i then stopped trying to let my body recover. We have just started trying again. What are the chances I will fall pregnant very quickly? And how can i prevent miscarriage? Thanks
there was no biological reason for irregular periods, been there, tested that.

Are you sure your irregular periods are due to going off the pill? People who have PCOS suffer from irregular periods. They also have a hard time trying to conceive, and have higher instances of miscarriage. Have your doctor check you out. If you take medication to solve the problem you’ll have a much better chance of conceiving and not losing the baby.
I don’t know of anything you can do to prevent another miscarriage, other than what you have already done,and that’s to let your body recover. Good Dr’s suggest three cycles. It looks as if it happened pretty fast the first time once your periods got regulated, so I think it looks good that it will be the same this time. I know it’s so hard to try not to think about it when it’s what you want so badly. I wish you luck and baby dust and when it does happen lots of sticky vibes.

Thats crazy, I am in the same boat. I had a little boy 2.5 years ago, I have had two miscarriages since, about a year ago I got pregnant and at about 6 weeks I lost it, I waited about 3 months to try again to be on the safe side and at about 6 weeks I lost another baby. That hurt me phyically and emotionally. I waited another few months and just about two and a half months ago I started trying again and now I cant seem to get pregnant. I never had that problem before it aways happened within the first month I was trying to concieve. I feel like there could be something wrong now. The miscarriages happened too soon to tell the reasoning for them.
I can only tell you from my experience. I want another baby so bad. I am also scared of having another miscarriage and now I feel like from having the m/c it effected me. My doctor told me there is nothing to really I can do to prevent another miscarriage and that it was by no means my fault. Just take it easy and dont try to hard. If its meant to be it will happen!I hope it happens soon for the both of us. I wish you the best of luck…Baby dust
