how long does it take for the pill to leave your system, for you to be able to have chances of conceiving?

A Parent asks, i finished my sugar pills with my period and then have not taken any more contraceptive pills since i’ve finished my period. im just wondering how long does the pill stay in your system if you were trying to conceive

they say 6 months but i think its a load of rubbish i have lots of friends that conceived within the first mnth. i think it depends on your age and how long youve been on the pill for. it took me 5 mnths but id been on the pill 15 years!!
they say 6 months but i don’t think so, they told me when ur start to get ur bleeding back to normal then its out of ur system
depends how long you have been on the pill average time it takes to concieve after the pill is a year took us 8 months!
i am not sure what the pill does but it can make you infertile for up to a year or more after coming off but you never no u could be one of the lucky ones an have it happin quicker!

As soon as you get your first period after stopping taking the pill (for you it will be the next period cause technically you were still on the pill when you got this one) it means that your body has ovulated and you are able to conceive.
I stopped the same way you did, had 2 more periods and then got pregnant.
i was on the pill for four years, and fell pregnant 14 days after stopping!proof that it varies greatly between different women!
the day you miss or stop your next pill means you arent protected and can fall pregnant! there is no reason you cant fall pregnant straight away!!!
It is recommenced that you wait for three cycles after coming off the pill before trying to conceive, however you should be taking folic acid supplements at least 3 moths prior to conception and throughout the pregnancy. Please do this as it prevents spina bifida and other neural tube defects.
