Has anyone fallen pregnant from having sex 4 days before ovulation?

6 March 2010 4 Responses

A Parent asks, I was just curious to know if anyone out there had fallen pregnant from having sex approx 4 days before ovulation? My husband was away for work on my exact ovulation dates, but i wanted to know what my chances of falling pregnant would be anyway.
We had sex before he went away, hence the reason he is not here while i am ovulating!

Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days, although the chances are apparently not that good.
So I would think you mat have had a chance but obviuosly not as good as the day before or the day of ovulation.
Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Yes, I had sex on the morning of 3/30 before hubby left on a work trip, just in case. I ovulated on the 2nd or 3rd of April (OPK was positive in the evening on the 1st) and now I am pregnant.
    Good Luck to you.
