A Parent asks, We have been trying since december. And since december, my period has been off the charts, and not happening around the same timing. I been having this vaginal thrush for a few weeks. Will this affect my chances of conceiving? Having sex while you have a thrush affect conception at all?

Having a yeast infction can definitely affect conception. Fortunately, our bodies are very aware of infection and diseases and sometimes don’t allow us to get pregnant when they know that it’s not a good time. Yeast infection, as well as other vaginal infections and UTI’s, are also known for causing miscarriages. So, it is best that you are completely cured before trying to get pregnant. And the only way you can be sure is to get tested by the doctor have your partner treated as well!
Assuming you are meaning a yeast infection. not sure if it will affect conceiving, but it you have a current infection, your partner can catch it and you will pass it back and forth. I do not even want to be messed with when I have a yeast infection. I know you want to conceive, but I think the best thing is to get the thrush cleared up first and foremost.
You can treat thrush with natural yoghurt … I have loads thrush when I was actually pregnant – a real pain! I used natural yoghurt, which I bought Sainsburys and helps … I would say reduce the sex until it is investigated otherwise ur partner gets it and just keep pests and vice versa! HTH x.
