Did anyone ever have a drop in progesterone during the first trimester and still carry full term?

A Parent asks, My progesterone dropped from a 24.1 from two weeks ago to a 16.1 this morning. Did anyone have a drop like this but still carried full term after being put on pills or suppositories? Thanks for all your help.

I’m always on progesterone supplements during pregnancy, so I can’t say from personal experience. But it is a very common occurance, and progesterone supplements work very well.

As long as the utlrasounds look good, and baby is doing well, everything should be fine with progesterone supplements.

16.1 is still within the normal range for first trimester pregnancies, so I wouldnt worry too much, talk to your doc.

    Good luck!

Yes, The same thing happened to me. My doctor checked my progesterone levels when I had my first two betas done and I dropped from 20.1 or 13.9. I was then put on progesterone supplements for the rest of my first trimester. I now have a beautiful healthy 6 month old baby girl.
