I hope so, cause I’m doing it as soon as I hit 37 weeks.
No ,almost no doctor will do this because if they are off on their dating of your baby by a week or so, which happens often, you could end up with a premature baby by a month or 5 weeks. If it happens naturally, they don’t stop it, but my doctor made me wait until 1 week before the due date.
most doctors will not unless medically necessary. and you are not full term until the END of 37 weeks
No they wont unless the baby is not doing so well or is really big. Plus I wouldn’t want to rush this process the babys lungs aren’t full developed until38 wks.
some doctors do if the baby seems to be large or if the mother is having a hard time with the pregnancy. My friend had kidney stones 2 months b4 she was due then at 37 weeks she was in alot of pain, had gained alot of weight and the baby was almost 9 lbs by ultrasound so they induced at 37 weeks.
i don’t think so full term is actually 40 weeks if you go into labor at 37weeks on your own then they will not stop it, if there is something wrong they will induce you.
No.
Most likely nothing will happen if you het induced by 37 weeks, but you never know, and remember that babies come when they are prepared and all systems are mature, usually at 40 weeks. So, unless there is a medical reason, usually doctors won’t induce someone at that gestational age, although they may do it at 38-39 weeks. There is potential for complications, so why risk your baby to have respiratory problems and have to be attached to a respirator? You never know, be patient.
most doctors wont induce you until 2 weeks past your due date unless there is something is wrong.
Not unless you have dilated. My baby weighed 8 pounds at 37 weeks and the doctor said he would induce, but only if I had dilated. I never dilated, and ended up with a C-section and a 9 pound baby at 40 wks and 2 days.
If you have a smart and great doctor, they do not usually induce unless the mother or the baby are in trouble, twins, or if there is some reason to avoid c-section at every cost. You’ve made it this far. You can make it a little more further. But, I do know exactly how you feel. Trust that if you wait for the baby to come when its ready, it will gain a higher birth weight. Good Luck and Be strong.
I’m also in a similar sitiuation, like my docotor said that my baby’s growth is one week less. I’m in 34 week. And she said that after two weeks she will tell what need to do and also she said that she need to do ultrasound sacn test. I’m so worried. Becuase my belly also not big and it’s looks normal. baby is moving time to time. But i’m so much worried in to this. I have 4 year old son this is my second. My 1st i did not experinced like this. hmmmm..I don’t know. Please God be with me.
