What was the start of labor like for you?

A Parent asks, Just curious as to what the start of labor was like for different people. I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my second and my first pregnancy was induced so I never really experienced the start of labor. What did it feel like? When were you positive it was time to go to the hospital? That sort of thing.
My mum said she knew labor had started because her bowels completely emptied themselves and my mother-in-law said she felt like she had the biggest build up of gas.

i spent the first 2 and a half hours thinking i was constipated and boy did it piss me off. i was induced with my second which i believe is WAY more painful that letting it happen on its own.
Nausea, vomiting, explosive diarrhea, bloody show, and contractions.
Then, it got better once my body “flushed” itself.
Then, it got worse right before she came out.
But all in all it was not bad. Not AT ALL what I thought it would be
No meds either.
I was 100% sure it was time to go to the hosp.
With my first I was lost on what was happening, I woke up in pain every 3-5 min in the middle of the night, my stomach was contracting, (tightening really hard) & I’d lost my plug the night before.
My second, I knew what to expect, I woke up again in the middle of the night with contractions 3-5 min apart. Again, i’d lost my plug the previous night.
With my 3rd, I started having contractions around lunch, but they were not regular, nor did they really hurt, I had lost my plug the day before. It was around 7 in the evening I called my dr, because it was our due date anyway & he said to go ahead to the hospital, and at least get checked, good things cause I was 6 1/5 cm when I got there!
For me my water broke. At first I thought I didnt make it to the bathroom, bc it just dripped. Then all of a sudden it was as if I peed on myself. So i called the dr and she said I will meet you at the hospital. I had no pain until my last hour of labor. To me it felt like I had to go #2 real bad. I wasnt in that much pain I didnt get anything for pain. I went natural. Just remember if your water breaks dont take a shower or bath it could cause an infection. Good Luck!!!!
i had the “show” so i knew it was the start
then the pains started “lightly” i thought this is a peace of cake! whats all the fuss about until a few hours later, wish i never opened my mouth LoL
but i remember i kept thinking i needed to empty my bowls but nothing was happening! i was in labour for a total off 8 hours not bad for a first timer :~)
hopefully this one will be easier LoL

MY WATER BROKE WITH MY SON AND THEN I STARTED GETTING CONTRACTIONS OTHER THAN THAT NOTHING TO PREPARE ME, CAUSE MY WATER BROKE AT 35 WEEKS, BUT LUCKILY HE WAS 7 POUNDS AND NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM. I AM NOW 36 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH MY DAUGHTER STILL WAITING TO POP. I AM GOING THROUGH THE NESTING STAGE THOUGH.
