A Parent asks, If a baby is born 2 months early how many weeks is it at that stage?
What would be the average birth weight for one this premature?

anything before 37 weeks is premature..
**normal pregnancy lasts nine months, or about 38 to 42 weeks. Newborns are considered to be premature if they are born before they are 37 …

I had a premature baby- many years ago. He was due mid April- he was born late January. He weighted 1lb 10 oz. He lived for only a few hours on machines.
Anything earlier then 37 weeks is considered premature in the medical field.
Before 37 weeks. However, 36 weeks is still considered full term for twins.
A normal Pregnancy lasts 38-40 weeks. Depending onthe due date a baby born 8 weeks early would be at about 32 weeks gestation and would probably weigh 3-4 lbs.The baby’s survival rate if born that early is around 90-95%.
any thing under 37 weeks is premature, here is a web site for you.http://pregnancy.about.com/od/pregnancycalendar/
Pregnancy Week by Week
I think the earliest for full-term is 36 weeks. I don’t know the average birth weight for a baby at 32 weeks, but at that point they’re just putting on weight. Their lungs should be good to go at that point. Don’t quote me on that though, because I can’t think of anything concrete to prove it.
i had my daughter at 34 weeks she stayed in the hospital for 12 days. she weighed about 5 lbs. she is now 2.5 years old and one of the healthiest children i have ever seen.
Anything before 37 weeks is considered premature. Doctors will usually try to stop labor to get the baby to at least the 37 week mark. I had my son 2 months early, I was at 32 weeks. He weighed 4 lb. 7 oz. He is perfectly fine now. A typical little 4 year old.
