Miscarriage and still have a positive pregnancy test?
A Parent asks, I think I had a miscarriage two days ago and my pregnancy test is positive. I have had a miscarriage before and right away my test was negative and I was further along then I was this time. I hope I still could be pregnant since we still had intercourse but I dont think it is possible. Any advice would be great.
I already have a baby boy but I had a miscarriage when I was pregnant with him but I was carring twins.I wish this time is the same. Also I dont have insurrance until the end of next month and I work so planned parent hood would be closed by the time I would get there. I am just stuck.
Hey everyone who answered my question I went into the Doctor’s and found out that I am still prego!!!!!!!!!Thanks for everything

The pregnancy hormones will remain in your body for a few days or weeks. There would be a high enough level after only two days to trigger a positive.
Wait a week and test again.
Q: How soon after a miscarriage will an HPT be reliable?
A: It varies. Sometimes it takes awhile for hCG levels to go back to zero, so it is possible to get a positive HPT from a miscarriage for a month or more after a loss. If hCG levels were followed back to zero, then a positive HPT should indicate a new pregnancy.

Pardon my bluntness:
GET YOUR ASS TO A DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give the hormones a chance to shut down.Calm down what d’ya got baby fever?
Did you have an ultrasound done?
I miscarriged but was still preggers because I was carrying twins.
the same happened to me a couple of years ago the hormone level takes a while to back down to normal wait a week and do another test.hopefully things will turn out as you want, i had 2 miscarriages before my son was born and now i have 3 boys so dont ever give up hope !!!
I had a very high hcg level still right after my miscarriage and was told to still act like I was pregnant, keep my feet elevated and rest in bed. Unfortunately, my next HcG test, four days later was a “50″, indicating I did have a miscarriage, so I would say that if you have it tested again 4 days or so later, you may know your answer. Sorry about your loss.
If you think you had a miscarriage why didnt you go to the doctor??Did you go to the doctor when you found out you were pregnant??Everytimes you miscarry your suppose to expell the placenta, embryo ect from the body if not all of it gets expelled then you need to get a D&C, if you do not get one then you will be facing other problems not too mention you can get very sick, sometimes fatal…..You don’t say why you think you had a miscarriage! did you start bleeding? did you have unbearable pains accompanied with bleeding?? If you are still early in your pregnancy and you experience some spotting that can be normal, but if you have pains even more of a reason to go get checked out!!!something could seriously be wrong thats preventing you to carry a baby thats another thing you need to get checked out, you need to know why you keep loosing pregnancies, their are many many things that can be going wrong…..anyways go to your doctor get checked out for your sake and your babies or your future babies lives
I miscarried at 6.5 weeks and my HCG levels were 16,000. It took 3 weeks for them to completely leave my system.
This is serious… you need to get off Yahoo Answers and see a doctor. Leave work to go to PP or go to a regular doctor or the ER and pay later or make payments. The can not deny you medical attention and they can’t get blood from a turnip. Most doctors are understanding and since you don’t have insurance they will probably give you a discount. You could have a serious problem and high risk of infection for the sake of your health and that of the possible unborn child you need to get to a doctor ASAP.
i dont think you lost the baby and since you said you think, you need to go to the doctor and see if you dont already know
A pregnancy test can show up positive for like a month after a miscarriage (this doesn’t mean it always will though). You should really go to a dr though if you think you had a miscarriage to make sure there aren’t any problems. If there is a planned parenthood by you it might be cheaper than going to a regular dr.
sorry for your loss i just went through the same thing the DR. waited 3 weeks before testing me for hormones due to a D & C that was nessicary. Either your hormones haven’t quite leveled out yet or you could still have remains of the pregnacy in your uterus and last but not least you infact can be pregnant still/again!:) This can become serious but its best if you seek actual medical advise every situations different. You never know! I do know that as soon as you have a miscarriage you are very fertile, very fertile….
